A New Bible Study for Kids
Back in the early days of lockdown in 2020, my kids and I spent some time studying the "put off" and "put on" instructions in Colossians 3. It was a fun time to learn together, and we studied how Jesus perfectly embodied each of these qualities.
I shared about that study and was asked to write it up as a kids' Bible study for Moody Publishers, and I'm thrilled to share it with you today!
In Colossians 3, Paul tells the church that their identity is now in Christ, and they need to "dress the part," or behave the way a follower of Jesus should. So, there are things they need to "take off," and there are other things they need to "put on." This list of things to put on is not just for the Colossians, but for all who follow Christ, including kids.
What to Wear is an 8-week journey into this list of things to "put on."
Kids will:
Read (and write!) stories about kids their age.
Draw pictures.
Answer questions from the Bible and their own lives.
More than anything, they will learn how much Jesus loves them and how He can help them to put on the "clothes" that fit with their new identity in Him.
